THE KOZMIC NEWSLETTER - June/July '07

We've been beavering away like good 'uns in the basement here at Kozmic Towers as we've been cracking the old rehearsal whip and bringing our new drummer Adie Savage up to speed.

It was well worth the effort - he's awesome! Not only is he rhythmically rock-solid and technically sound but if you want to see someone sweating their rocks off for the cause and giving 100% commitment to every single beat of every bar then we'd advise you to get along to a gig sometime soon!

'But Kozmic' we hear you cry, 'You haven't got any gigs - we looked at the live page and there was hardly anything listed!'

Don't be silly; of course we've got gigs - it's just that the one of us who does all this t'internet jiggery-pokery (mentioning no names of course) has only just got round to sticking them all up there!

Also now listed on the live page are details of some of the Bite The Dust gigs. Although it's the band that spawned Kozmic, we still play under that banner from time to time. The line up is usually the same and as we often play a mix of Janis numbers and other stuff on those gigs, we thought you may be interested.

As well as Janis' material, a Bite The Dust Gig can feature covers of classic blues and rock numbers from artists like AC/DC, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Rory Gallagher, Al Green, Joe Walsh and many more.

However, from a purely 'Kozmic' point of view, we're really looking forward to the next couple of months as we've got some cracking gigs to look forward to. We're delighted that Kozmic will be appearing for the first time at Oldham Carnival in June and we're really looking forward to playing Beech Road Festival in Chorlton again at the start of July.

We're also pleased to be appearing at some top venues where great crowds love and appreciate their live music - venues like The Sturdy Lads in Barnsley, The New Roscoe in Leeds and The Limelight in Crewe are all places that Kozmic will be playing for the first time in the next few months.

It's great to have the band back to full strength again and we're itching to get back on stage and let 'er rip! We'll look forward to seeing you very soon.

Love & Best Wishes
